Collagraphy

Using a printmaking method of collagraph, I made two large-scale prints based on the topic of Repetition, Scale and Materiality. “Preserved shoebox bygones” presents photographic imagery of old items stored in a shoebox, conveying my nostalgia and childhood memories through materials of objects. A horizontally long panorama print, “Islands”, shows the beauty of nature in Oceanian islands, as an immigrant from a country that was not an island. It also expresses a sense of hope and gratefulness for living in Australia and having the privileges of it.
